Hostel

Students come to SIRDA from every corner. The Hostel at SIRDA provides such an ambience that the students feel they are at home. The rooms are well furnished, airy, with attached bathrooms, proper housekeeping facilities, telephone facilities and are equipped with a number of other amenities as well. The hygiene and cleanliness factors are the basic ideas that are very well taken care of and best measures are taken to provide very healthy and homely atmosphere for the students choosing to avail this facility. Hostel has an activity centre, gymnasium, common room, reading room, dining room with mess & other basic amenities like hot water supply in winter.

Hostel Rules

  • All rights of admission to the hostel Of SIRDA Group of institutions are reserved with the Dean Student Welfare. No student can claim admission as a right.
  • Orders/Decisions notified from time to time, by the Dean Student Welfare/ Warden, will be binding on the residents.
  • Admission of the students in the SIRDA Group of Institutions Hostel will be made by the Chairperson of the respective Teaching Department. The students are required to submit the forms for admission to the hostel Authority within 3 days from the date of start of the classes/new academic session for the allocation of seats strictly on merit basis.
  • Making noise and crying is strictly prohibited.
  • Garbage and waste material should be kept and disposed off in the dustbin.
  • Visitors are not allowed to enter the student’s rooms; they can see their wards in the visitor’s room at the reception.
  • Electric appliances like heater, Electric iron, transistor, T.V etc. are not allowed in the rooms. These items should not be in possession of hostellers, if found, disciplinary action will be taken as per college rules.
  • It is the duty of all the hostellers to ensure the safety and cleanliness of the hostel premises.
  • Hosteller must adhere strictly to the meal timing (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner/Supper)
  • All the students residing in the hostel are entirely responsible for their personal belongings.
  • Writing on the walls, putting poster on the hostel wall is strictly prohibited.
  • Students should ensure that all the windows are closed before leaving the hostel.
  • Students must ensure that all the taps are closed and lights are switched off before leaving the room.
  • Only those visitors are allowed to see their wards whose names are mentioned in the hostel form/Leave book.
  • Students are advised not to bring costly material like gold ornaments in their rooms. The responsibility for the safety of their belonging including Mobile Sets/Laptop/Desktop/Audio system will entirely be that of the students/residents. Use of strong and reliable lock is recommended.
  • The administration has issued leave books to all the hostellers to reduce absentees, while going on leave the students should keep the leave book with themselves.
  • In case of any problem, students are advised to report to the Hostel Superintendent immediately.
  • As per Supreme Court ruling smoking at public Places is a punishable Offence. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the hostel including Mess or Canteen areas. Defaulters will be fined Rs. 500/- per offence.
  • In order to curb the drug menace in the hostel, those found indulging in taking intoxicants, drugs and any such banned materials shall be expelled straightway from the hostel. They shall not be given re-admission in the Hostel in future.
